Quinoa On the Hop

  • Quinoa
  • Fresh fruit (i.e. Apple, Banana, Kiwi, Pear, Blueberries, Raspberries, etc)
  • Fruit juice

Mix together

Add to your portion of quinoa, a portion or two of chopped fresh fruit (apples, bananas, kiwis, pears, blueberries, raspberries, are good choices – for those with Rosacea avoid any fruit that you know causes flushing) & splash on some fruit juice.

This healthy snack will keep you full because quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is high in protein making it an excellent grain for vegetarian meals, which helps the meat-eater cut down on their meat intake. This is also a very ‘light’ grain so it is useful for those who usually skip breakfast, but are now trying to introduce it as part of a new healthier diet.

Quinoa can be used as you would a rice in just about any meal.
